Ladoos are tiny confectionaries shaped into balls and made of semolina flour, sugar and ghee. As sinful as they sound, these tiny treats are fun adults and kids to enjoy!

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 30 minutes

Ingredients [makes 24 balls]

  • 2 cups semolina flour

  • 1 1/4 cup warm milk

  • 2 cups sugar

  • Dried fruits & nuts (roasted and chopped): almonds, cashews, pistachios, golden raisins

  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom powder

  • 4 tsp ghee

Nani Says: Mix semolina flour and warm milk, put aside and cover for 30 minutes. Then, make small balls and flatten into small patties, wetting your hands so the mixture doesn't stick to your fingers. In a pan, add 2 tsp ghee and brown patties. Let cool, then break into pieces and grind into a course powder. Roast nuts in the leftover ghee, grind and mix together; add cardamom, sugar and 2 more tsp ghee and mix together. Make balls (any size you like).

* tip: grind nuts into a finer powder for kids, or chopped for adults.
